As requested, this FREEZE-o-RAMA Mama has opened her freezer up for all to take a peek and see. I gots to warn ya that it ain’t pretty. This is my “before” video:
I really didn’t know what I would find since my OAMC (once a month cooking) was a little spotty over the summer due to a lot of grilling out and A LOT of garden veggies…
Funny thing about them there gardens… not only are they work to get started and maintained… but dealing with their abundant “fruits” on their schedule (not mine) was enough to overwhelm a gal. Never made me so grateful in my life that this was a “hobby” and not an everyday way of life.
Don’t get me wrong, I heart canning and gardening. But, truth be told, tomato harvest about did me in. I canned over 30 quarts of chopped tomatoes and made a triple batch of fresh chili to freeze (and another to eat!)… that’d be a lot of maters… just sayin’
Anyhoo, despite the OAMC “break”, I still used a lot of freezer methods throughout the summer. Buying my meat in bulk and freezing it up prepared or in marinade packets is now just a way of life ’round these parts…just sayin’.
Surprisingly, after all was said and done, I had two FREEZE-o-RAMA dinners left in the freezer and one on top for today
So, with a jam packed September well underway, I grabbed my Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, Freezer cookbooks and computer and gots down to business makin’ this month’s FREEZE-o-RAMA plan.
