Let the yumminess continue! Cookies anyone?
Banana-Chocolate Chip Cookies to be exact!
Start out with 1/2 cup of sugar, sweetie ;)
Now get your Paul Deen on and add 1/3 cup of butter, baby;)
1 egg
1/2 t. Vanilla
And mix ‘er up
Now mash up a banana
And mix ‘er up
Gradually add 1 cup of flour
Thank your farmer for your food and this super duper measurin’ spoon!
Add 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda or “sodie” as my grandma would call it ;)
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 to 1 cup of dark chocolate chips–your choice
Chop up some (1/2 to 1 cup) walnuts
And fold…Truth be told I’d much rather fold cookie dough than fold laundry.
I hate folding laundry… just sayin’
Now scoop out these cute little cookie balls and bake until golden– about 10 minutes later ;)

Oh yummy. I just made banana chocolate chip muffins so I'll have to try these. I always have bananas in my freezer. No matter how many times they swear they'll eat them all, they don't. I freeze them for bread, muffins and now cookies!

Sounds like a good recipe to make when the grandkids come over!

  • Leslie @ goodbye, house! HELLO, HOME!

    Cris,
How did you know that I had some ripe bananas on my counter and a 1/2 bag of chocolate chips waiting to be used?
I even have a WHOLE stick of butter in the fridge!
Imma hafta use pecans, though, as I don't have any walnuts :(
Thanks for the recipe–I have never made these before!
Will come back and rate them!
    Hugs,

We love this recipe at our house. In fact, some bananas are just a wee-bit overripe, so I do believe I'll make a batch of cookies this afternoon! We don't usually add the nuts to ours, and they still turn out well.
