Oh-So-Easy Pot Roast Dinner

I am linkin’ up with Miss Leah’s Hunk of Meat Mondays with this new family favorite…

Hunk of Meat Mondays

Oh-So-Easy Pot Roast Dinner

It comes from my new Gooseberry Patch E-book, Homemade Christmas

I just love, love, LOVE this recipe!

Grab a 2-3 lb chuck roast

Cut slits in it and add 1/2 cloves of garlic in the slits

Now feel pretty fancy about it ;)

Coat with flour and brown all sides in olive or canola oil

Now place in a crock pot… EASY ALERT… so loving this!

Top with one sliced up onion

Toss in some quartered red taters

And toss in some sliced carrots

Add salt and pepper to taste

And pour on the secret ingredient

Beef Consumme
Now cook on high for 6 hours
And 6 hours later you have…
One. Fantastic. Roast.
Yum!

Does this work if you do it on low for 8 hours or so? I work all day so I wouldn’t be able to do 6 hours.

      It should do fine.

I’m almost ready to serve this. The house smells amazing, and it tastes delicious! Mine only needed about 4:45 on high.

You can always freeze leftovers or use a smaller roast and adjust your time accordingly.
