I will freeze anything I can before canning. I have strawberries, cherries, gooseberries, blackberries and apples in my garden. I freeze them all. Then when winter comes and I have more time (ha ha) I will make my jams from the frozen fruit. Works great! Most all my garden veggies are frozen too. Love my freezer! Love your blog!

I have never used the fruit fresh before. Thanks for the tip. I will have to try it. I usually just sprinkle some sugar on a cookie sheet and put a layer of peaches on top and freeze them individually before putting them in bags. Also, for pealing them, if you put the peaches in a pan of boiling water for a couple of minutes and then in cold water in the sink, the pealing pulls right off really easy with your fingers. You don't even have to use a knife!
