Lowfat Strawberry Banana Smoothies

As we are settling in from our whirlwind vacation, we are starting to get into a more health conscious mode around the Goode house.

And, this smoothie recipe is one of our all time favorite treats when we are trying to get back on track — which in this house means upping those fruits, veggies, dairy and lean meats in the meal department and adding a whole lot of daily activity in the exercise department.

This smoothie is great treat to cool down after a workout; soothe a sweet tooth; or kick start a morning .

Start out by tossing a banana in the blender. It can be fresh or frozen.

Add 8 large frozen strawberries

Add 1/2 Cup Skim Milk

1/8 Cup Frozen Yogurt… I sooo LOVE Blue Bunny’s Homemade Vanilla.

Add 1 T Splenda (or Sugar if you prefer)

And 1 t Vanilla

Then blend until smooth

Yum!
