BBQ Sloppy Joe Soup

Now that you are back from entering that awesome giveaway,  summon your inner Sandra Lee and get your soup pot ready ;)

Lean ground beef

Start out by browning up a pound of ground beef seasoned with Steak Seasoning and Garlic Powder to taste…

Kansas Steak Seasoning

I have been diggin’ this Durkee Kansas City Steak Seasoning…

And, no, they aren’t sponsoring this post…. but hey yo, Durkee… so loving your stuff… have your people call my people ;)

Sloppy Joe Sauce

Once your ground beef is browned, drain it and add your BBQ Sloppy Joe sauce…

I couldn’t find BBQ Sloppy Joe sauce, so I used the Bold Manwich sauce instead…

Anyhoo… heat it through, and then add everything else…

Can of Green Beans

A can of green beans- drained

Can of Sweet Peas

A can of sweet peas- drained

Can of Kidney Beans

A can of light red kidney beans- drained and rinsed.

Campbells Potato Soup

And, a can of Minestrone soup

And last but not least… one can of diced tomatoes.

Red Gold Tomatoes

 

Then pour in 1 1/4 Cups Water

1 1/4 Cups Water

Mix ‘er up and heat through…

Serve up… psst… even better the next day!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • Steak Seasoning and Garlic Powder
  • Can of Sloppy Joe BBQ Sauce
  • Green Beans- Drained
  • Sweet Peas- Drained
  • Light Red Kidney Beans- Drained and Rinsed
  • Can Cream of Potato Soup
  • Can Minestrone Soup
  • Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 1/4 Cup Water

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef after seasoning
  2. Drain
  3. Add Sloppy Joe Sauce and heat through
  4. Add remaining ingredients and heat through

    Thanks for posting.  Anything with sloppy joe has got to be good, right?!  LOL!  I made too many BBQ beans for dinner tonight and was looking around for a way to turn them into soup for another meal, maybe with a nice grilled cheese sandwich.  Ironically, I did use half sloppy joe, half BBQ and a half can of diced tomatoes (to 2 cans of pork-n-beans).  Now I’ve seen your recipe, I am thinking, what the heck, throw in that cup and half of left over spaghetti sauce (that’ll stand for the minestrone), some italian sausage, some mixed veggies, pinto beans and I should be good!  I see you have cream of potato and I’m not feeling that right now… but I have some instant potatoes that were given to me (I wondered what I would do with them) so I will take a scoop or two of the soup in a separate pan and see if the potatoes are a go or not.  If it’s good, I’ll post back and stand corrected on the potato addition.  (-:
