As many folks already know, a sweet dear friend of mine and fellow blogger recently left us after a long battle with cancer.
In honor of her 34th Birthday, many of her friends are doing a random act of kindness today in her honor.
Leontien and I wrote each other often and every time I got one of her notes in the mail it would make me smile and warm my soul.
Last night after a very long and sad day, I walked up to my mailbox and found a card from another bloggy friend in our circle and the sense of joy to hear from one of “my girls” at that moment overwhelmed me. Immediately, I knew what my random act of kindness would be…
I went to the store and bought 34 cards that I picked out for 34 random people in my life. (My bonus act of kindness was to situate all of the cards with the bar code in the right direction for the cashier at the store 
).
As I fill out these cards tonight I hope to continue in some small way her legacy of encouragement and kindness to those around me.
Happy Birthday Sweetie. There’s whole bunch of us “crazy Americans” missing you dearly.
