More warm weather is just around the corner here and hopefully it will stick around this time! These BBQ Ranch Stuffed Cheddar Burgers from Gooseberry Patch’s Grilling and Campfires Cooking are a must have! They are juicy, flavorful and have a delicious surprise!

BBQ Ranch Stuffed Cheddar Burgers

Aunt Lou here.

Truth be told, I have never cooked on a gas grill before. I had a charcoal grill at my old house that I loved to cook on, but gas grills are foreign to me. Michael usually does all the grilling around here.

However, Michael had to stay late at the office the night I prepared these BBQ Ranch Stuffed Cheddar Burgers. So, I put on my big girl pants and decided to give it a try myself.

Everything was going fine while the grill warmed up, and when I first put them on. There were a few fires that needed to be put out, but I had my water bottle handy and did exactly what Michael told me to do.

Then something went wrong…very wrong. The temperature gauge on the grill wasn’t holding or getting higher. In fact, it kept falling. Hmmm…

Did I break the grill?

The temperature kept falling. The burners went out. Then they refused to relight. All I could think was that I had broke our grill. Then Michael gets home and convinces me that I definitely broke our grill until we checked the propane tank…

Yep. It was empty!

Woohoo I didn’t break our grill! Michael went out and got me a new tank and all went well from there on out. My first grilling experience with these awesome BBQ Ranch Stuffed Cheddar Burgers was, albeit a bit dramatic, a huge success!

Combine your beef, ranch dressing mix, and oil well in a large bowl.

Form into four patties.

Use your thumb to make a small indention in the middle of your patty.

Place approximately 1/4 of your cheese in the indention (it won’t all fit, but do your best!).

Fold your burger in half like a taco and reshape into patty again with all your cheese hidden inside.

Grill over medium-high heat for 20 minutes, turning occasionally.

Brush the top side of your burger with bbq sauce, flip and brush the other side with bbq sauce.

Grill for 5 more minutes until sizzling.

Serve it up on buns and enjoy!
