Grill’s on! Are you looking for a fantastic grilled chicken with a delicious lemon flavor?
We love this citrus take on grilled chicken. It is in our regular grill rotation we love it so much. Now, between you and me, I think Lemon Chicken in general gets a bad wrap sometimes… I blame Everybody Loves Raymond ;).
Grilled Lemon Chicken
But this recipe (found in on of my all time favorite Gooseberry Patch cookbooks– Grilling and Campfire Cooking) is the perfect classic grilled chicken with a light lemon taste that is just down right fantastic.
We love to grilled boneless skinless thighs, but this would be good on everything from chicken breast to drumsticks. Just make sure you grab your meat thermometer use my tips for how to grill chicken to get tender juicy chicken every time regardless of what cut of meat you use 😉
Grilled Lemon Chicken
Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Cloves Garlic- Minced
- 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Dry Mustard
- Salt to Taste
- 2 lbs Chicken Cut of Choice
Instructions
- Mix together marinade and pour over chicken in a shallow dish.
- Marinade for 2-8 hours (longer for stronger flavor)
- Drain and grill chicken as usual.
