Aunt Lou here.
Michael ran across a great deal on some boneless pork loin chops (Half off? Yes please!). So I had them in the fridge with the freeze by date staring me in the face. I started flipping through my cookbooks to find a good recipe that I could make with ingredients I already had. It had been a long day, and I really didn’t want to go to the store.
I ran across this Easy Pan-Fried Pork Chops recipe and thought it looked simple enough. I checked my cabinets and had all the ingredients…winner, winner, pork chop dinner!
Now we all know that I am not the best at prepping and putting a recipe together. I get it done right, but it always takes a lot longer for me than it would for the average person. Well, I had these AMAZING chops done in less than 20 minutes! I was floored (and so was Michael!).
And the best part? They were juicy and delicious! There was just enough kick from the ground red pepper to please my spicy lovin’ husband and son, but not too much so that my way-too-sensitive palate was in pain. We all thoroughly enjoyed the flavor, and who doesn’t love a juicy pork chop?!
Michael asked me what these Easy Pan-Fried Pork Chops were called after we had had them for supper. I replied, “Scrumditiliumptious Super Amazing Pork Chops.” They were so good, that he didn’t even question me! He just said, “Oh…okay!” Which, of course, gave me a good laugh. 🙂

I fixed these chops last night. OMG they were so good. I have never been able to fry “pretty” chops but I followed your directions and they turned out amazing. My husband used to laugh when I tried to fry chops, sadly he died 4 years ago but I have his picture on the back of my stove so he watched me last night and knows how great these were (wink) I will make these again for our three boys.
Thank you!!

Delicious and juicy! I think next time I will add a bit of brown sugar to the actual seasoning, and cayenne instead of ground red pepper (half the amount). I loved the ease of the cooking process as well.

Please tell me if these were tender never get fried chops tender

Hi Beverly!
The key to tender chops is to not overcook them. Pork chops only have to cook to 145 degrees and rest 3 minutes before serving. So if you are unsure, you can use a meat thermometer to get your timing right depending on your thickness of chop. Hope that helps!
