For a while I have been discontent with what the internet has become. Back in the early days of the web I was so full of hope and wonder at how we all could connect and share information and interests. But lately I have been so disheartened by social media and the major players in the internet world. Sometimes I worry if they are going to destroy the internet completely.
So here I am, trying to do my part to salvage what I love by sharing little nuggets of information, funny finds, as well as other odds and ends I collect here with you.
I hope you find some of it useful or entertaining, while scrolling past anything that isn’t your cup of tea.
I envision these posts as TOTALLY random and hopefully fun!
Here goes Volume 1 of Cultivating Connections…
- I am absolutely in LOVE with this woman’s container garden. She lives in my zone and I am in AWE of what she can go with her space. Definitely #GardenGoals.
- I cannot wait to try this homemade bubble solution with the pups. Ollie goes NUTS for bubbles. So glad I stumbled upon this recipe. I am so intrigued by her secret ingredient.
- I think I am finally going to do this decluttering challenge! Her free Declutter 365 Missions are only 15 minutes a day and promise to get you through your whole house. I can do 15 minutes!
- I LOVE this woman’s way of making collage paintings with TORN PAPER. She is so creative. I took her Pet Portrait class and made a collage of Octavius that I adore!
- These Irresistible Coneflowers arrived today (no affiliation) and I am so excited. I really hope they are as pretty as they look when they come up!
- If you love folklore and beautiful artwork, have you seen Song of the Sea? I am not usually an animated film lover, but this movie has me captivated. The artwork is breathtaking and the story is enchanting.
- Have you seen these amazing giant troll statues made out of recycled materials? A friend took us to see some the other day and they were incredible!
- If you aren’t following the National Park Service, you are missing a chuckle on the regular. Love their witty informative posts.
- Last year at one of the Farmer’s Markets where Mikey played a show I was introduced to this amazing woman’s food truck. She makes delicious freezer meals for very reasonable prices. I love filling my freezer up with back up dinner plans for this season of our life. We LOVE her Lasagna and everyone in my family (and extended family) is crossing our fingers that she brings back her Summer Corn and Chicken Casserole.
- I’m giving this app a try and will report back. I’ve heard good things about it. It claims to identify plants, help you care for them AND help you identify what’s wrong with them when things don’t go as planned.
Well that concludes Volume 1 of Cultivating Connections! I hope you found something fun or useful in all that randomness!
