While I am anxiously await to see which recipes you guys are going to have me share here, I thought I would share five familiar recipes that I love that I found in the lovely pages of Big Book of Home Cooking.
Truth be told, when I found these five gems within the pages of this book, I already knew I was going to LOVE it!
These yummy Parmesan Bread Sticks are such a hit with my family and a lot of you guys as well and you can find them on page 288.
This Texas Ranch Soup is one of our all-time favorite soups and is often found in our freezer after a FREEZE-O-RAMA and can be found in this book on page 158.
A breakfast morning favorite and member of my savory muffin club, these Quiche Muffins are a smaller version of the Jumbo Quiche Muffins you find on page 292.
These Magic Bars just so happen to be my little butterscotch twist on the recipe you will find on page 251.
These Maple Drop Cookies— found on page 246– are so buttery and sandy. They freeze very well and are the perfect way to soothe a sweet tooth.
Tomorrow I will share with you a recipe I had already cooked up before I got the book and was hoping to share soon –only to find it right there in the pages of this huge book of yum!
Laurie’s Stuffed Peppers were a BIG hit at the Goode house and you can find them on page 93 or right here tomorrow!
Truth be told, finding these tried and true recipes hidden in the pages of this encyclopedia of foodieness only makes me more excited to get cooking on all of the great recipes you guys are voting on.
The big vote ends tomorrow night at 9 PM and then I will get to tallying up the votes, shopping and then cooking it all up.
You guys have been voting like crazy and I can’t wait to see what comes out on top. So far we have had well over DOUBLE the amount of votes we have ever had and there are several very close races…
So much so that guess what?!?
My bloggy pal over at Beyer Beware (who just happens to be another Early Bird Reviewer) has agreed to cook up the runner up recipes so that you will get double the free recipes from the vote! Woohoo!
Not only that, our GOODe friends at Gooseberry Patch gave BOTH Leah and I an extra copy of this book to give to two lucky readers– before it becomes available to the public on September 20th!
I will begin my giveaway on Monday, but make sure you follow Miss Leah over at Beyer Beware to stay in the know when she announces her giveaway as well!
