Do you ever find yourself in a store wondering if you are getting the best deal or if you are going to go home and find out that it was tons cheaper online or down the street?
Or, you have found a great deal, but you are wondering if the product you are eyeing is going to be the quality you expect.
This year as I headed out as one of those crazy Black Friday shoppers, I equipped myself with the Red Laser App on my Android (HTC Evo) Phone and it saved me LOTS of money and time.
If you own a smart phone, you really should download this super-awesome FREE app that takes a lot of the guessing out of holiday shopping.
This handy little app lets you simply scan the bar code on the back of the item you want to price check and it will tell you the customer ratings for the product as well as the prices at local retail and online shops.
Now, it doesn’t always tell you sale prices, BUT it helps you determine if a sale is a GOODe deal or not…
A couple examples from Friday:
We were at a retail store that was advertising a huge sale on video games. I scanned those games to find out that those sale prices actually only brought down the price to the regular price at other local stores…
Not to mention that I could get the games way cheaper from Amazon
…
And, it also gave me “Used Prices” online too… which I appreciate because I am a huge used DVD and Game fan.
Used DVD/Game Tip: I always buy Amazon, always buy from a reputable buyer and always buy a “Good” or “Like New” Condition and I have never had a problem.
The app also came in uber handy to figuring out which electronics to buy and which to avoid…
That TV that is on a super deal may be a super dud… and chances are, if it is, it will have a low rating online.
With one bloop from my phone camera, I immediately could see if it was a one star or five star in the eyes of consumers… I call that bloop-tastic!
Red Laser is quickly becoming one of my favorite apps on my phone and definitely helped me holiday shop with confidence.
