Are you looking for something a little different to throw on the grill? Look no further– my sweet and tangy BBQ Ham Pineapple Kabobs will have you doing the hula right on the back deck!
I have been grilling out like a mad woman lately. This past winter was a doozie, wasn’t it?! Truth be told I think I am still a little frightened it might snow again before we get to the Fourth of July. So I am absolutely determined to enjoy the heck out of this summer. And, that means a lot of grilling (and a lot of new recipes for your grill 😉 ).
So why don’t we get things started off right, shall we? Ever since we made our traditional ham and pineapple kabobs (a family favorite if there ever was one), I have been wanting to try other flavors with this super easy idea that is a HUGE hit any time we serve it up.
So when KC Masterpiece asked me to come up with an easy recipe using their signature sauce, I knew exactly what I wanted to try.
I kept things super simple and the results where ah-mazing.
BBQ Ham Pineapple Kabobs
All you need are three ingredients: ham, canned pineapple chunks and KC Masterpiece’s Original Barbecue Sauce.
Now I have made ham kabobs over the years with chunks of leftover ham, ham bought in large cubes in the meat section and also plain thick cut deli ham and all grill up nicely, so feel free to use whichever you prefer. This time I just so happened to have some left over ham on my hands– more on that later 😉
As for the pineapple, I recommend using canned. You can read more as to why here.
Now, for the magic.
After alternating your ham and pineapple on your skewer, brush liberally with your KC Masterpiece Original Barbecue Sauce– the perfect balance of tangy and sweet– and place on a medium hot grill.
Rotate skewers on grill every 2-3 minutes until all sides are nice and grilled.
The barbecue sauce does a fantastic job of drawing out the sweetness of the pineapple and the nice char of the ham as it caramelizes around the kabob.
You will NOT be disappointed. Promise.

I put the Turkey (Smoked & Roasted) with a little meat left on them, I also save the ham bone along with some meat on it,
I wrap each one separately in foil and then place in a large freezer bag.
When I want to cook beans (any kind) I grab either the turkey or ham and my crock pot. Saves money and is always eaten.

Made these last night and they were fantastic! Only thing I changed was heating the ingredients in my copper frying pan rather than making kabobs. Faster and did want to startup grill. Served with rice. I used sweet and spicy Bbq sauce. Definitely a keeper!
