Does your family enjoy a good sloppy joe? This Sloppy Joe Bake recipe is a fun twist on a family favorite that perfect for a weeknight dinner or easily doubled for your next potluck!
It was easily one of my top five favorite dinners as a kid.
But I have a confession to make…
I was never much of a fan of homemade sloppy joe sauce. Aunt Lou and I were Manwich kids through and through (and no, they aren’t sponsoring this post 😉 ).
Miss Add is also a huge fan of Manwich too…
Puddie on the other hand doesn’t like sloppy joes… and most specifically, he is NOT a fan of Manwich. (See I told you they weren’t sponsoring this post ;)).
I know… I know… The things you should ask before you go and marry a guy, but I am kind of in this long term relationship with him now, so we have to find a solution to our sloppy joe differences.
I may or may not have made this for dinner in the name of you dear reader. I mean I can’t keep you from a fabulous recipe just because Puddie deprives himself of such delightful ingredients, what kind of food blogger would I be?
So I whipped this up (with left overs on hand to make sure Puddie had options should he protest) and served it up.
The verdict?
Everyone loved it… wait for it… including Puddie!
So there you have it, our sloppy joe debate was put to rest by a Sloppy Joe Bake!
